Naomi Gingold is a journalist, podcast producer, host, sound designer/audio engineer, and ethnographer.
She has lived in and reported on numerous countries around the globe, covering figures and events both famous and monumental, as well as significant but unknown: from 2015's historic democratic election in Burma/Myanmar to unsung heroes of the 3/11 triple disaster in Japan. She has covered a range of topics, but specialties include technology, immigrant communities, gender/racial equality, health, and the arts.
Her reporting can be heard on NPR, PRI, and the BBC. She is currently launching a new longform storytelling and news podcast on Asia.
Although her work has taken her from the eastern US to the southwest and Asia, she will always have a soft spot in her heart for the backstreets of Shimokitazawa, the sidewalks of Yangon, and the parks of Boston.
Naomi is an alum of Brown University and Berklee College of Music.
